Rock Climbing Courses
Have a ‘taster’ day if you have never tried rock climbing and want to see what it’s all about. Learn how to make the transition from indoor climbing to outdoor rock climbing, if you have learned on an indoor climbing wall. Make the progression from single-pitch climbs to tackling multi-pitch routes safely, usually high on mountain crags and sea cliffs. Perhaps you have been a competent second for some time, but want to learn to lead climb. Or, for the accomplished sports climber, do you want to learn how to lead ‘traditional’ climbs using leader-placed protection? Try single-pitch gritstone climbs in the Peak District, such as at Stanage, or dramatic multi-pitch rock climbing at places such as Llanberis Pass in Snowdonia or Gimmer Crag in the Lake District. Or, have a long mountaineering day out on great classics such as the routes on the east face of Tryfan in Snowdonia. (Maximum 2-6 people depending on exact activities).
