Home » The Langdale Pikes at Dawn
The Langdale Pikes are extremely photogenic at any time of the day or year, but perhaps especially at dawn. This dawn shot entailed a night walk up Lingmoor Fell to be ready in the morning at dawn.
Having taken this and several other shots of the Langdale Pikes I continued my walk to get more dawn pictures. I descended via Side Pike, with its famous ‘squeeze’ traverse. From Side Pike, there are superb views up to Bowfell and Crinkle Crags. Once on the other side of Side Pike, I found myself looking to the south to Blea Tarn and the Coniston fells.
Finally, I made my way down to Blea Tarn itself to enjoy the Langdale Pikes from yet another classic angle.
