A view of Sprinkling Tarn from Great End. A very early start (4am) from the Old Dungeon Ghyll really paid off on this day. On my way up Bowfell, I captured a lovely shot of The Plough over the Langdale Pikes. Then after another couple of hours I arrived at Great End. There were high clouds obscuring the sun (on and off) and low clouds rolling up from Wasdale (on and off). There were also distant clouds obscuring Derwent Water and beyond. But a bit of patience paid off and I was quite pleased with this shot of Sprinkling Tarn looking down from the cliffs of Great End in the golden morning light. Behind it is Borrowdale and in the distance Derwent Water.
