Drying gloves
Since it’s very much the season for messing about in the snow, then it’s also the season for wet gloves. Drying gloves ready for the next day out can be a challenge, and putting them directly onto a radiator isn’t great for the leather, which many decent gloves have.
Next time, try this little trick. Enjoy a long drink of Gin and Tonic (lemonade or water will also do) then turn the glass upside down and insert the base of the glass into the cuff of the glove. Now place the glass onto the radiator or heater with the glove hand standing upright. The glass will quickly heat up, warming the air inside the glove and dry it out more naturally from inside to out.
Just be careful when picking it up again because the glass will be hot!
This is so much more effective for drying the gloves out, and much kinder to the leather meaning the gloves will last longer than if you dried them out directly on a hot surface.
